How to select the exact conditions and course you want to use.

Your first step is to select which course you wish to play. Select the course from the list by clicking upon the Course Name. To the right an image of the course and a brief description will appear.

Select your player by clicking on the Player drowdown. That player's information will appear. Notice that you can modify this data. You can change the Tee Box, Shot Type, and Clubset. If you are going to Practice on the Driving Range, you cannot select Tee Box as the Driving Range behaves differently than the courses. See Driving Range for details.

Note: when you are on the course you can change the player's handedness, their Clubset and, on any particular shot, their Shot Type but you cannot change their Tee Box.
When selecting players, don't forget that the Player dropdown is a scrollable list! You may not see a player you thought you had created and try to create them again.

Note on the left we can only see four players, however, by clicking the scrollbar on the right we can now see the other players and select them.
If you have not created any users in OptiShot, the only option you will have is "Create New User". You may also use this to create a player on-the-fly rather than having to go to the Creating & Managing Users window.

This will take you to the New User creation window, see Create a New Player for details.
Your last Practice Setup choice is to set your Course Options, that is, the conditions of this course.

You can set the following:
| Green Speed: | Set whether the greens should run fast or slow. |
|---|---|
| Wind: | Set the wind speed. |
| Wind Direction: | Set the wind direction. |
| Weather: | Set the general weather conditions. |
Note: The Wind Speed and Direction by default are set to the real world averages for the course you have selected.
Once you have made all of your selections, click the Start button to proceed to enter Practice Mode.
