Backup Your Clubsets, Statistics and Games

If you need to reinstall OptiShot, or you are installing it on a new computer, and you wish to preserve or transfer your custom clubsets, swing statistics, and saved games, you can do this by following the steps below.

  1. Make sure OptiShot is not running.
  2. Show Hidden Files and Folders.
    • Windows® 7:
      1. Click  Start » Control Panel
      2. In the upper right View By select Large or Small Icons
      3. Double-click the Folder Options icon.
      4. In the Folder Options window, click the View tab.
      5. Select Show hidden files and folders then click OK.
    • Windows® Vista:
      1. Click  Start » Control Panel
      2. On the left click Classic View
      3. Double-click the Folder Options icon.
      4. In the Folder Options window, click the View tab.
      5. Select Show hidden files and folders then click OK.
    • Windows® XP:
      1. Click  Start » Control Panel
      2. If it says Pick a category at the top, then on the left click Switch to Classic View
      3. Double-click the Folder Options icon.
      4. In the Folder Options window, click the View tab.
      5. Select Show hidden files and folders then click OK.

  3. Locate the folder named OptiShot by following the path below
    • Windows® XP:
      C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Application Data\Dancin' Dogg Golf
    • Windows® Vista or Windows® 7:
      C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\DancinDogg Golf
  4. Right-click on this folder and select Copy. Navigate to wherever you wish to save the folder. This might be your desktop, or a removable thumb drive for example. Right-click and select Paste.

After you have completed the Installation of OptiShot, go to the location where you saved the OptiShot folder, right-click on the folder and select Copy. Navigate to the location below, right-click and select Paste.

  • Windows® XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Application Data\Dancin' Dogg Golf
  • Windows® Vista or Windows® 7:
    C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\DancinDogg Golf
