I feel it should be pointed out to those not buying OptiShot because of ceiling heights less than 8.5 feet that 8 feet works great.....in fact works as well as full set of clubs
initially I thought I would just hit 7 irons around all the courses, then I discovered that OptiShot will apply swing speed to default driver etc and produce realistic results...I am more than pleased
I choke up on an 8 iron, wear shoes that put me almost as high as OptiShot pad, use 'no ball' setting and still get swings speeds of 94 to 104 mph. I have my driver set at 245 which is usual for my real game and get drives from 220 to 270. 3 woods that are 225, 5 woods 205 etc which are very realistic
for irons I found I had to increase the distance from my normal distance and select 'higher' to get realistic results. Most often I will select an extra club for irons...2 extra if hitting from rough
anyway the results are very very realistic. I am able to aim the shot right and draw it back...or cut it if need be...so the plane and clubface angle are very accurate.
only had OptiShot for 3 days...grazed the ceiling once....no big deal...it is snowing outside and I am playing 3 or 4 rounds a day on great golf courses. Should mention that I have played Torrey North and South courses 40 or 50 times years ago and the layouts and green contours are very very accurate....well done
